Six years later, with a name change along the way, the game is. This is what the game would look like in 2021, or at least what it would look like on a PlayStation 5. It was all the way back in 2015 that I first wrote about a game called Prey For The Gods, an indie homage to Shadow of the Colossus.
It was revealed in early 2021 that Praey for the Gods would use state-of-the-art technology, and No Matter announced these new features along with a launch window in early 2021 (which turned out not to be).
The environmental effects, lighting and color palette in general have seen a very welcome update since the last time the game had a trailer or showed any content. The game feels less inspired by Shadow of the Colossus and more an attempt by the developers to create their own world with an original game, which will allow players to once again track and hunt giant beasts. More than half a year after the game's initial release, Praey for the Gods is finally available as a full release. So it was great news today to wake up and see that the game is over, and it's now available not just for PC, but also PS5, PS4 and Xbox One. To restore balance and reclaim the land from the brink. Arriving with only the clothes on your back, you must survive the colossal dangers that you encounter. Then it disappeared for a year or two, resurfaced with an early access game with bugs, and it didn't work very well, and then disappeared again to the point where most of us completely forgot about it. Praey for the Gods is a boss climbing open world adventure game where you play as a lone hero sent to the edge of a dying frozen world to discover the mystery behind a never-ending winter.
